Tour Overview

Annapurna Base Camp is also known as ABC trek or Annapurna Sanctuary Trek which is situated inside Annapurna Conservation Area Project as one of the beautiful, short and easy trek of Nepal. The trekking trail of Annapurna Base Came offers majestic view of Annapurna range, local ethnic Gurung settlement, lush green forest of rhododendron and bamboo, uphill and downhill path, glacier moraine, waterfall, Rivers, hot spring and attractive greenery landscape of Annapurna region. 

The view from Annapurna Base Came is unique and breathtaking with an elevation of 4130 meters. After trekkers enter inside sanctuary, can have huge Himalayan sights enclosed by a solid wall of silver peaks such as Annapurna I (8,091m), Annapurna South (7,219m), Hiunchuli (6,441m), Machhapuchare (6,993m) Gangapurna (7,485m) Tent Peak (5,663m) with Annapurna glacier and more mountain views. The trek route of ABC also presents diverse flora and fauna, topography and wildlife. The sunset and sunrise view of Base Camp is amazing which changes Himalayan peaks into golden color and it will be great opportunity to take photograph. 

Though, in the beginning part of the trek routes have 3 options to enter inside Annapurna region, we choose longer way to reach ABC, after having 1:30 hrs drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and hike to Ulleri Village via Hile and Tikhedhunga.  Later, we follow the uphill Path of Ghorepani and downhill path to Tadapani village and hike to Chomrong, Dovan, Himalaya, Deurali, MBC, ABC having descending way to Hot Spring of Jhinu Danda and drive to Pokhara. Last day of the trek, trekkers can have relaxing and healing for aching muscles in hot spring. Trekkers feel life time unforgettable experience after vising ABC due to its virgin beauty, overwhelming nature, peaceful environment of trek route and welcoming local Himalayan people.

Itinerary

Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860 m) and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m)

  • Duration: 5-6 hours
  • Highlights: Trek through alpine landscapes with views of the Khumbu Glacier. Pass memorial sites dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest.
  • Overnight: Teahouse in Lobuche

Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2,170 m)

Highlights: Continue trekking through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests, then climb past Doban and Himalaya. The terrain becomes steeper as you approach Deurali, offering glimpses of the snowy peaks ahead.

Trek from Chhomrong to Bamboo (2,310 m)

  • Duration: 4-5 hours
  • Highlights: Descend to the Chhomrong Khola, cross a suspension bridge, and ascend through lush forests of bamboo and rhododendron to reach the settlement of Bamboo.
  • Overnight: Teahouse in Bamboo

Trek from Bamboo to Deurali (3,230 m)

  • Highlights: Continue trekking through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests, then climb past Doban and Himalaya. The terrain becomes steeper as you approach Deurali, offering glimpses of the snowy peaks ahead.
